Responsibilities
  • Perform dimensional and quality inspections on Centrifuge component parts to OEM standards.
  • Evaluate and construct product specific inspection gauges.
  • Calibrate inspection tools including callipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Ensure the correctness of products leaving the service centre.
  • Adhere to the Quality Plan within the service center.
  • Champion quality and workmanship and demonstrate a commitment to issues of quality.
  • Use of company ERP software for the management of parts through the quality process.
  • Manage the correction of bad parts by communicating with external vendors, internal purchasers, and other stakeholders.
  • Perform final product quality tests to OEM standards including operating test equipment to collect vibration, temperature, and/or pressure data.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience & Training
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Quality Technician or an equivalent, related post-secondary education program.
  • Machinist or Mechanical Engineering background may be considered.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, manufacturing drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Experience with measuring parts.
Skills/Qualifications
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work alone and as part of a team
  • Strong knowledge of PC computer systems and Microsoft programs.
  • Organizational and time management skills (ability to multi task under pressure).
  • Willingness to adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of French or German language would be considered an asset.
