Job summary

Richardson International Limited is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician in Portage la Prairie, MB. The role ensures raw materials, in-process blends and finished products meet food safety and quality standards.

You will collect samples, inspect, test and document results, and help manage non-conformances and certificates of analysis. The successful candidate will have Grade 12 or equivalent and strong communication skills; willingness to work shifts and overtime.

Qualifications

  • Excellent computer, written, documentation and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be willing to work day and night shifts, as well as overtime.
  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Gather product samples within the manufacturing environment.
  • Conduct inspection & testing on finished product according to specifications.
  • Analyze product for moisture, weight, water hydration and particle size and record test data in the database.
  • Initiate, communicate and track all product non-conformances to the specification.
  • Create and release certificates of analysis for all customers upon request.
  • Collect retained samples and maintain quality & food safety parameters.
  • Other duties as assigned
