  • Minimum certifications in Quality Assurance, GFSI, and Internal Auditing.

fast-growing, Vaughan-based food company operating multiple brands across retail, foodservice, and manufacturing throughout the USA and Canada is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our team.

Role Overview

This individual will ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality across our operations. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong background in HACCP, GFSI, BRC, and regulatory ( GFSI/CIFA/USDA/FDA )compliance within the food industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain the company’s HACCP system, BRC system, SOPs, and quality programs.
  • Oversee all incoming material inspections, sample handling, and approvals.
  • Conduct internal audits and customer complaint investigations.
  • Ensure all microbial testing meets specifications and maintain comprehensive databases.
  • Deliver training on Food Safety and Quality Control to QA staff and plant employees.
  • Ensure full compliance with CFIA, USDA, FDA, and customer specifications.
  • Maintain and update product specifications, labels (Genesis SQL), and supplier documentation.
  • Administer organic, gluten-free, and kosher certification programs.
  • Conduct and document sanitation and pest control programs.
  • Lead mock recalls and maintain preparedness for food safety emergencies.
  • Supervise the QA Technician and support FSQA system activities.
  • Assist QA Manager in recall, food security, and crisis management situations.
