Job summary

LeverageTek Staffing Solutions in Canada is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer (Azure Cloud) for a permanent full-time role with our Ottawa-based client.

You will validate workflows, permission controls, and security measures in Azure, automate API tests with Postman, and integrate tests into Azure DevOps pipelines while collaborating closely with Developers and DevOps teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• 3+ years of Azure deployments and testing CI/CD.
• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud architecture.

Responsibilities

Key Tasks

• Validate application workflows, permissions, and security controls within Azure Cloud Environments.
• Verify functional and non-functional requirements for cloud-native microservices.
• Monitor cloud logs using Azure Monitor and Application Insights to troubleshoot defects.
• Integrate automated regression tests into Azure DevOps Release Pipelines.
• Configure quality gates in Azure Repos pull request (PR) workflows.
• Design and execute automated API tests via Postman.
• Track and manage software defects, risks, and execution tasks inside Azure Boards.
• Author structured test plans and matrices mapped directly to agile user stories.
• Collaborate closely with Developers and DevOps teams during sprint planning and grooming.

Key Qualifications

• 3+ Years with Azure services deployments & testing CI/CD.
• Proficiency in programming languages (C#, Python, or Java) and automation frameworks.
• Hands‑on experience executing tests within an active Azure Cloud Architecture.

Qualifications

• ALM & CI/CD: Azure DevOps (Boards, Pipelines, Repos, Test Plans), GitHub Actions
• Automation Frameworks
• API Testing Tools: Postman, SoapUI, ReadyAPI
• Database & Analytics: Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL, Advanced T‑SQL queries
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

Assets

• ISTQB Advanced Level Test Automation Engineer.

Compensation

Based on qualifications and experience: $60,000 - 80,000
