Job summary

Groupe DCM in Quebec seeks a Quality Assurance professional to support quality and production. Reporting to the quality assurance vice-president, the incumbent will perform audits, drive corrective actions, and ensure compliance with NADCAP, AS9100, and Transport Canada regulations.

The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience, strong analytical skills, and bilingual proficiency in French and English to communicate with clients and suppliers outside Quebec.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Proficiency in the Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience as an internal auditor.
  • Experience with NADCAP and AS9100 is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Transport Canada regulations is an asset.
  • Excellent proficiency in French and English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

  • Perform internal and external audits (customers, NADCAP, AS9100).
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions following audits.
  • Prepare and assist external auditors during customer audits.
  • Implement corrective actions and communicate results to auditors.
  • Assist in advancing quality practices for special processes (welding, plasma coating, painting, LPI, chemical cleaning).
  • Review and approve qualifications of operators and technicians.
  • Manage non-conformities raised by customers.
  • Participate in quarterly/annual reviews of internal non-conformances and complaints.
  • Provide training on the quality system for new employees.
  • Apply and uphold safety rules and our quality system.

Purpose of the Position

Reporting to the quality assurance vice-president, the incumbent will be responsible for performing various tasks in support of quality and production.

Responsibilities
  • Perform internal and external audits (customers, NADCAP, AS9100);
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions following audits;
  • Prepare and assist external auditors during customer audits;
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions raised following external audits and communicate the results and actions to the auditors;
  • Assist in advancing quality practices and special process techniques for: welding (melting and strength), plasma coating, painting, TND (LPI) and chemical cleaning;
  • Approve technical instructions and associated training materials;
  • Review and approve the qualification of specialized operators and technicians (welders, plasma operators, painters);
  • Manage non-conformities raised by customers;
  • Participate in the preparation of the quarterly and annual review of internal non-conformance assessments and the evaluation of complaints and implement corrective actions and ensure follow-up;
  • Provide training on the quality system for all new employees;
  • Apply and respect safety rules at all times;
  • Apply and respect the rules of our policy and our quality system;
  • Perform all other related tasks.
Required Education
  • College diploma in mechanical engineering or a related field (metallurgy, quality, aeronautics) and any combination of relevant experience.
Technical Skills
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position;
  • Proficiency in the Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), an asset;
  • Experience as an internal auditor;
  • Experience with special processes & NADCAP, an asset;
  • Experience with AS9100 is an asset;
  • Knowledge of Transport Canada regulations is an asset;
  • Excellent proficiency in French (spoken and written), along with advanced proficiency in English (spoken and written), is required to support regular communications with clients and suppliers outside Quebec.
