Are you the person we're looking for?

We are seeking a Legal Counsel to support and grow our global software business. As a member of QNX’s talented and collegial legal team, you will draft and negotiate various legal agreements, as well as support the senior members of the QNX’s legal department on a wide range of matters, including (but not limited to) contracts, regulatory compliance, marketing/advertising, intellectual property issues, and legal research. We are looking for a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, attention to detail, strong ability to think critically and clearly communicate in writing, team focus, ability to work independently, and a “can do” attitude are the prerequisites for success.

You will:
  • Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including software license agreements, services agreements, partnering agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and related agreements
  • Advise and provide guidance on legal issues relating to commercial terms
  • Provide legal support on a wide variety of matters to mitigate legal risks while advancing business initiatives in compliance with corporate policies
  • Respond to business queries and evaluate and mitigate risks to provide appropriate legal solutions
What We’re Looking For
  • LLB or JD, with admission to practice law in Ontario
  • Proven legal experience in commercial law, contracts, ideally in the technology sector
  • Exceptional drafting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
  • Strong communication abilities — both written and verbal
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently
  • Attention to detail, adaptability, and a “can‑do” attitude
