Job Title: QC Laboratory Technician

Position Details:

  • Hours: Part-Time (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM)
  • Salary: $21.00 – $23.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated QC Laboratory Technician to join our Quality team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high product standards by conducting a variety of tests on production samples to ensure product safety and quality. This is a self‑directed role with minimal supervision and will involve collaborating with other members of the Quality Assurance team.

This is a part‑time position to start, with hours on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The plan is to transition the position into a full‑time role if the candidate proves to be a good fit. The schedule may change, and we are awaiting confirmation of the details.

The pay rate for this position is $21–$23 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities
  • Perform standard physical and microbiological tests on finished products.
  • Maintain accurate records and properly enter data from testing.
  • Manage inventory of laboratory supplies and prepare materials for routine testing.
  • Follow safety guidelines and industry regulations such as GMPs / GLPs.
  • Calibrate and operate testing instruments safely and accurately.
  • Keep the laboratory clean and organized.
  • Contribute to quality control and process‑related projects.
  • Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Flexibility to work beyond regular hours, including weekends or holidays if necessary.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the quality team.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent in Analytical Chemistry, Food Science, Microbiology, or related field, or relevant experience in a laboratory setting.
  • College Certificate in Chemical, Biochemical, or Chemical Engineering Technology is a plus.
  • Up to 2 years of laboratory experience in a manufacturing or educational environment is required.
Skills & Knowledge
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to work with specialized lab equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple priorities with accuracy.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to maintain proper documentation.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and perform tasks requiring hand‑eye coordination.
  • The work environment may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles, with a moderate noise level. Hearing protection may be required in some areas.
