Overview

HB Studios is a driving force in the creation of sports video games and the studio behind PGA TOUR 2K Golf – presently working on Console and PC. We have an opportunity for a QA Tester to join our team of developers, creators, and fans, who are passionate about the art and process involved in video game development.

As a QA Tester, you’ll collaborate with a team to chip in to the development of quality games —from initial concept to final release. Your contribution and attention to detail will be crucial in ensuring our games are polished, engaging, and free from bugs and defects.

Responsibilities
  • Performs short-term assignments using independent judgment within defined procedures.
  • Conducts testing to ensure software meets regulatory performance standards and requirements.
  • Identify and document defects or compose issues clearly and concisely in our database.
  • Create and complete comprehensive test cases to uncover and log product defects.
  • Provide valuable insights on the playability and overall experience of our titles.
  • Work closely with colleagues across the QA department and the development team.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • A genuine curiosity about video games and game development.
  • Experience testing across multiple games and platforms is a plus.
  • Technically proficient with PCs and gaming consoles a plus.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of solving problems optimally.
  • A reliable great teammate who can also work independently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Location

Position based in Nova Scotia. Willingness to relocate to Nova Scotia is helpful.
