Job summary
A leading precision engineering firm in Alberta is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to lead their quality function. The ideal candidate will ensure product excellence and regulatory compliance while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Responsibilities include overseeing quality systems, managing ISO compliance, and training QA personnel. A minimum of 5 years experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment is required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in quality management in a manufacturing or precision engineering environment.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to review data, identify trends, and drive process improvements.
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing QC teams.
- Effective communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Familiar with multipoint cutter, miller, grinding wheel and EDM machines.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Quality Department and maintain a robust quality management system.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all quality-related matters.
- Maintain and continuously improve the ISO 9001 quality management system.
- Develop, implement, and monitor QA/QC procedures to ensure product quality.
- Identify quality issues and coordinate corrective actions.
- Collect and analyze quality data to identify trends.
- Train, supervise, and motivate QA/QC personnel.
