QA Engineer — Test Automation in Finance

Job summary

Luxoft is seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks in an Agile environment. You will drive shift-left validation, automate tests with Selenium/Pytest, and work closely with developers to ensure scalable, robust quality across systems.

The role requires strong Python and SQL skills for test development and data verification, with familiarity in financial services environments and event-driven systems considered an asset.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in software quality engineering including functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium, Pytest or similar).
• Solid understanding of API testing (REST) and ability to write and maintain automated test suites.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into build/release workflows.
• Proficiency in Python or equivalent scripting language for test development.
• SQL proficiency for data validation, test data setup, and backend verification.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts in an Agile environment.
• Drive a shift-left approach to software validation and empower the team to automate.
• Participate in product design to ensure quality is built in from the start.
• Monitor effectiveness of test automation and drive improvements through data-driven analyses.
• Define and execute test plans, test cases/scripts, identify defects and coordinate with developers.
• Apply engineering best practices and drive continuous improvement across the team.
• Adhere to Agile SDLC and support related duties as required.
• Foster collaboration and mentorship, promoting feedback and professional growth.
• Maintain strong relationships with business partners, peer IT teams and vendor partners.
