Job summary

NDAX Canada Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) engineer to design and execute exploratory and automated tests, ensuring product quality for a leading Canadian cryptocurrency platform.

You will review requirements, create test plans, develop automation scripts with Cypress or Appium, and coordinate testing activities with developers and product managers. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of QA automation experience, strong SQL skills, and familiarity with Agile/Scrum.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in test automation using Cypress or Appium.
• Demonstrated experience in software quality assurance.
• Extensive understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Proficient in creating clear, concise, and detailed test plans and test cases.
• Practical experience with white box and black box testing techniques.
• Practical experience with automated testing tools.
• Strong understanding of SQL and scripting languages.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Experience in API performance and/or security testing is advantageous.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools.
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
• Liaise with internal teams to identify system requirements.
• Monitor debugging process results.
• Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions; track quality assurance metrics.
