Job summary

Astra-North Infoteck Inc. is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to design and lead advanced test automation across modern frameworks and SAP platforms. You will drive quality controls through the SDLC, define automation strategies, and embed shift-left practices in CI/CD pipelines.

You’ll work with Java, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, Spring Boot, ReactJS, NextJS and modern tooling to ensure scalable, reliable software delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience designing and implementing test automation strategies across SDLC.
• Proven experience with SAP products and containerized environments.

Responsibilities

• Define, author and drive test automation strategies across the SDLC.
• Lead quality controls for unit, integration and acceptance testing.

Role Description

The Senior Automation Engineer must bring extensive hands‑on experience across modern automation frameworks, SAP platforms, CI/CD quality engineering, and containerized environments. The role requires the ability to define, author, and drive automation strategies while enabling strong quality controls across the SDLC.

• Strong advocate of quality controls across unit, integration, and acceptance testing using tools like JUnit and WebDriverIO
• Applied knowledge of SAP offerings including S/4 and SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris)
• Understanding of programming languages and frameworks:
  • Java
  • TypeScript
  • HTML
  • CSS
  • Spring Boot
  • ReactJS
  • NextJS
  • TailwindCSS
• Ability to define, author, and drive test automation strategies using best‑in‑class platforms
• Proven experience with CI/CD processes and embedding quality controls into each SDLC stage (Shift‑Left mindset)
• Strong understanding of ITSM (ITIL v4) processes for change, knowledge, incident, and problem management
• Experience with containerization technologies:

• Understanding of REST, GraphQL, and event‑driven architecture (Pub/Sub, Kafka)
• Ability to understand customer needs and align testing strategies accordingly
• Drive to expand beyond functional testing into non‑functional areas (performance, reliability, resilience)
