Job summary

Thales is seeking an automation developer for the Data Path organization to design, build, and expand test coverage for an automated solution. You will learn the ETL processes and data model across vendors and cloud environments, design test scenarios, run automated tests, and analyze results to ensure high quality delivery.

The role emphasizes test‑driven development with Python, automation frameworks, Bash scripting, and experience with CI/CD tools and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated automation developer for our Data Path organization. This is an impactful technical role within a highly skilled data‑oriented team. You will play a key role in designing, building, and expanding test coverage for an automated solution.

Essential Functions

In this role you will contribute to designing, building, and expanding existing test coverage, learn the product’s ETL processes and data model across vendors and cloud environments, design test case scenarios, execute automated tests, and analyze test results to ensure high‑quality delivery.

Minimum Requirements

• Test‑driven development with Python and hands‑on experience in pytest.
• Experience building or working with automation frameworks.
• Experience writing Bash scripts for installation and configuration automation.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with cloud‑based systems (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with various databases (SQL, No‑SQL, Graph) and database queries is an asset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Curiosity, problem‑solving skills, and strong organization.
• Attention to detail and meticulousness.
• Willingness to learn and collaborate with team members.
• Experience designing and deploying infrastructure as code using Terraform or Ansible.
• Experience developing Go for custom Terraform providers is an asset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Previous Quality Assurance experience is an asset.

Compensation

The anticipated TTC range for this role is 88,716.49 – 118,288.65 – 151,679.14 CAD annually. The company reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range and may offer additional benefits and compensation based on circumstances unrelated to protected status.
