Job summary

Gala Solutions in Montreal is seeking a driven engineer to join the MBS Risk & Pricing Technology team. You will own development and enhancement of critical risk and pricing systems used by the business with hands-on responsibility for production systems.

The role requires strong Python skills, experience with scripting and data querying, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Onsite presence is required 3x per week.

Qualifications

• Proven Python programming experience.
• Experience with scripting languages and data querying.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with production systems support.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance risk and pricing systems for production use.
• Collaborate with users and tech teams to gather requirements.
• Improve stability, performance, and automation of systems.
• Participate in release deployment, testing, and production rollout.
• Maintain high-quality controls in a fast-paced environment.
• Contribute to weekly production system monitoring.
• Analyze production issues and implement fixes.
• Continuously learn financial products and technologies.
