Job summary

Collabera is seeking a software engineer specialized in Python in Ottawa, Canada. You will work with a talented development team to translate requirements into design and implement robust, scalable solutions.

Focus on performance and reliability, collaborating with cross-functional partners to resolve issues and deliver quality software. The ideal candidate has deep Python expertise, experience with Django or Flask, and a strong grasp of threading, multiprocessing, and event-driven programming.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in large complex software projects.
• Expert in Python, with a working knowledge of a Python web framework such as Django or Flask.
• Understanding of the threading limitations of Python, and multi-process architecture.
• Familiarity with Event-driven programming in Python.

Responsibilities

• Work with a talented software development team and other corporate team members to obtain software requirements, define quality design specifications based on these requirements, implement and test the proposed design.
• Ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues reported from our customers; participate in cross-functional investigations to bring field issues to resolution.

• Understanding of the threading limitations of Python, and multi-process architecture
• Familiarity with Event-driven programming in Python
