Overview

Pursuit Jasper AB Maintenance Supervisor — Jasper, AB. Full-time.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise the maintenance work and activities of the property
  • Shift work which will include general building maintenance as well as landscaping, snow removal, and parking lot cleaning
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with Hotel Manager and other departments affected by work
  • Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of staff housing units when necessary
  • Assist with the coordination of all renovations on the property
  • Communicate, and perform preventative maintenance of the property
  • Document and ensure proper communication through a maintenance log book, limble and email
  • Train and mentor maintenance workers in all aspects of property maintenance through hands on approach
  • Prepare schedules for Maintenance Workers and ensure all shifts are covered
  • Thorough knowledge of fire procedures, safe work practices, emergency procedures, pool maintenance
  • Assist with payroll control as it pertains to the Maintenance Department
  • Perform and train staff in the duties of Maintenance Worker as required
  • Assist the Director of Facilities with major repairs to guest rooms and other areas
  • Report to the Director of Facilities & Hotel Manager on the completion of projects or any hurdles you are experiencing at the property level
Qualifications
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a related maintenance field (basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, pool treatment, and painting)
  • Must possess excellent mechanical ability and knowledge
  • Must be able to train staff, mentor and give direction while thinking outside the box for best solutions
  • Must be able to perform administrative functions, and a basic knowledge of computers
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to create a culture of pride in work
  • Knowledge of tools and their uses (tools provided)
  • Ability to manage large workloads and demands, and effectively prioritize & multitask
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, such as day (ex. 7am-3pm) or night (ex. 3pm-11pm)
  • Valid driver’s license (Class 4 Alberta driver’s license is an asset)
  • Steel toed work boots are required for this role (worker supplied) – we will provide pants, shirt and jacket for your uniform (boot allowance opportunity after 1 year completed service)
