Scope Of Position

Provide thorough data analysis to support the companies needs in accordance with company policies, customer specifications, provincial and federal laws, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough segment research to identify potential suppliers, analyze industry trends, and assess market dynamics to make informed purchasing decisions that will feed into the Purchasing Strategy.
  • Analyze pricing models, total cost of ownership, and value propositions to determine the most cost-effective purchasing solutions without compromising quality or service levels. Prepare reports and/or communication regarding outcome.
  • Utilize quantitative and qualitative data to analyze and determine purchasing strategies to achieve cost savings and improve business model efficiency.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and cost optimization through data-driven analysis and benchmarking best practices.
  • Build & maintain strong professional relationships with the supply base & internal stakeholders.
Basic Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a post‑secondary co‑op program in a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools, specifically Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, ERP systems and other relevant software applications.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Detail‑oriented with focus on accuracy and quality.
  • An ability to work on own initiative.
