Job description

LightForm has a career opportunity for an Purchasing and Operations Support. As part of LightForms Operations team, you will be responsible for acquiring and shipping goods, and communicating with our Vendors, Sales teams, and Accounting teams. A key component of this role will involve arranging logistics from vendors and dealing with customs.

You will also support the Operations Manager, Accounting, and Customer Service team with purchase information changes and other financial nuances as they relate to product purchasing. Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication and time management skills with a keen eye for detail. An ability to manage and interpret complex data is critical.

Responsibilities
  • Create and send purchase orders within Lightforms ERP system
  • Communicate with vendors for order confirmations, shipping dates, package details, and ready-to-ship dates
  • Communicate with accounting departments to confirm deposits, balance of payments, or pending invoices/dues
  • Arrange for shipping from vendors and fulfill the orders
  • Communicate and coordinate with brokers for customs clearance
  • Arrange shipping from LightForm stores to clients
  • Provide LightForm Sales Reps with shipping quotes
  • Contact vendors for latest price lists and updates
  • Calculate freight costs on item landed costs
  • Respond to emails and tasks as quickly as possible
  • Negotiate with freight forwarders for better rates
  • Work with LightForm Customer Service on Returns, VRMAs, and RMAs
Qualifications
  • 1 year of experience with purchasing both domestic and foreign
  • Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP system
  • Experience shipping with FedEx and other (inter)national carriers
  • Experience with and knowledge of customs procedures
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge and proficiency with inventory management software
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish or Italian considered an asset
