Overview

Our client has been a proven market leader in the production of electric controls and motors and they are currently seeking a Purchasing and Inventory Coordinator in Cambridge, ON to join their team for a one year contract. This role will be responsible for coordinating purchasing activities, managing inventory levels and records and ensuring products are available when needed.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain supply inventory levels for the warehouse and maintain optimal stock to prevent shortages or overstocks.
  • Process, maintain and track inventory transactions in the ERP system.
  • Oversee correct transfer of stock into destination warehouse.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and variances.
  • Create and receive purchase orders and negotiate any changes.
  • Communicate with vendors and warehouse regarding purchase orders and shipments.
  • Review invoices and match orders with documentation received.
  • Generate reports and communicate with warehouse and management.
  • Analyze data and recommend solutions for scheduling.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years’ experience in a similar role such as Administration, Procurement, or Customer Service.
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field is considered an asset.
  • Previous experience with ERP systems such as SAP is preferred.
  • Must have a high attention to detail with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Working proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Excel, must be familiar with creating formulas & spreadsheets.
