Job Description:
Summary:
  • Responsible for resolving issues and follow-up on purchase orders, and resolving related grief issues.
  • Exercises independent judgment with guidance from supervisor.
Education/Experience:
  • 5+ years of general business education or equivalent on-the-job training — preferred.
  • Previous related experience required.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Knowledge of purchasing and accounting systems, receiving report processing, and shipping regulations.
Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Resolving grief issues.
  • Determining necessary actions to correct problems.
  • Contacting involved parties via phone, fax, or email to manage shipments and receipts.
  • Following up on pending orders.
  • Communicating order status to customers.
  • Performing order revisions, including price adjustments and schedule changes.
  • Verifying customer orders for accuracy.
  • Setting up new supplier and customer information.
  • Analyzing sources, verifying, and processing orders.
  • Providing interpretation and problem-solving advice within the group.
