Department: Fort McMurray Service Centre Reports to: Field Service Supervisor Location: Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada Shift: Monday – Friday (occasional weekends)
Pump Inspector – Field Service is a highly skilled person responsible for performing on-site field service work for customer rotating equipment, with a primary focus on centrifugal and slurry pumps. This role is field-service driven and involves laser scanning, pump health checks, troubleshooting, installation support, commissioning, inspections, and adjustable suction liner (ASL) at customer sites. When not assigned to field service activities, they will support service shop operations, including disassembly, assembly inspection and electronic measurements by use of a CMM. The successful candidate will work independently or as part of a team, demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, and uphold the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer service.
Promote safety, environmental stewardship, and housekeeping as the highest priority at all times Comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and customer site safety requirements Participate in hazard assessments, job safety analyses, and toolbox talks Ensure all work meets ISO quality standards, OEM specifications, and customer expectations Report non-conformance, participate in root cause analysis, and support corrective and preventative actions
Frequent: Standing, walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, Lifting, pushing, and pulling items up to 50 lbs.
Occasional: Overhead work Climbing ladders or stairs Operating forklifts, cranes, and service trucks Wearing respiratory protection and other PPE as required
