Qualifications

• Previous construction-related and supervisory experience.
• Considerable knowledge of practices, methods, materials, tools, and equipment in public works.
• Valid Class 5 B.C. Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with semi-skilled manual work in maintenance and construction.
• Prepare for sidewalk installation and paving.
• Inspect pipes for defects and ensure proper sealing.
• Assign daily tasks and monitor work quality.

Skills

Knowledge of public works operations

Ability to work effectively in a team

Strong understanding of safety procedures

Experience with tools and equipment

Education

Completion of Grade 12

Technical courses related to the work

EOCP Water Distribution Certification level 1

Wastewater Collection Certification level 1
