Job summary

The District of Stewart is seeking two Labourers to support Public Works operations. The successful candidates will join a team that values collaboration and delivering exceptional service to the community.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 Education or equivalent.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence with satisfactory driving abstract.
• Safe work attitude and ability to follow directions.
• Good physical condition for outdoor manual labour in various conditions.
• Strong work ethic, reliability and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• General Grounds maintenance including lawn mowing, weed trimming, raking & brushing
• Ditch maintenance, pavement and sidewalk repair
• Snow removal including shovelling, salting and keeping hydrants & bins clear of snow
• Litter and cardboard recycling pick-up
• Painting and maintenance support
• Other duties as assigned
