Job summary

The Government of Yukon, Department of Highways and Public Works, is seeking a part-time Cleaning Attendant for the town of Haines Junction. The position is permanent and requires 40 hours bi-weekly, with work in public facilities to maintain safety and cleanliness.

Responsibilities include floor care, general cleaning, sanitizing, snow clearing, and reporting maintenance or safety concerns, while complying with WHMIS and RCMP checks as required.

Qualifications

• Experience performing light and heavy cleaning duties using janitorial equipment.
• Experience performing minor maintenance in multi-use buildings.
• RCMP vulnerable sector check is required.
• WHMIS Certificate to be obtained within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor care and general cleaning to maintain facility standards.
