Job summary

OSL Retail Services in Mississauga is seeking a Manager, Public Relations, Communications and Citizenship to lead corporate communications and citizenship initiatives. You will collaborate with leadership, People Team, Legal, Corporate Marketing, and global teams to align internal and external strategies and manage PR agencies to deliver measurable results.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5–7 years of progressive PR/communications experience required.
  • Experience developing strategic communications and PR campaigns for consumer products, digital services, or major launches.
  • Strong media relations and ability to translate complex offerings into clear narratives.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal groups, sales/marketing, and global teams to align launch strategies and communications.
  • Develop strategic communications plans across Mobile, Consumer Electronics, Networks, Corporate, and Enterprise lines.
  • Create PR campaigns and story angles to amplify launches and drive media coverage.
  • Manage multiple priorities, optimize resources, and deliver measurable market impact.
  • Coordinate with global PR/marketing teams to identify media targets and support Corporate/Brand PR activities.
  • Oversee PR agencies to ensure campaigns run on time, budget, and brand guidelines.
  • Analyze and report PR KPIs with agency and global teams.
  • Execute internal communications programs including executive messages, Town Halls, newsletters, and volunteer initiatives.
  • Develop executive messages, social posts, scripts, memos, and announcements.
  • Lead planning and execution of Town Halls and related communications.
  • Contribute to internal messaging and CSR-based communications plans.
  • Support citizenship strategy and marketing campaigns internally and externally.

About The Role:

We are currently seeking a Manager, Public Relations, Communications and Citizenship. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Communications and Citizenship, this role requires close collaboration with the leadership team, People Team, Legal, Corporate Marketing, divisional brand teams, retail, and dotcom to integrate internal and external communications strategies aligned with broader company marketing and business goals. The position also supports PR agency relationships and maintains alignment with U.S. and Global corporate citizenship and communications teams. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, exceptional writer, and brand ambassador who thrives on delivering measurable results through data-driven communications and reputation-building initiatives.

What you’re responsible for:
Corporate Communications, Product and Services PR:
  • Collaborate with internal business groups, sales and marketing stakeholders, global teams, media, and agency partners to align launch strategies and communications activities
  • Develop and implement strategic communications plans and initiatives in collaboration with marketing teams across Mobile, Consumer Electronics, Networks, Corporate, and Enterprise businesses
  • Create compelling PR campaigns and story angles that amplify product and service launches, strengthen brand visibility, and generate meaningful media coverage.
  • Apply strategic, creative, and operational expertise to manage multiple priorities, optimize available resources, and deliver measurable market impact
  • Work with global PR and marketing teams to identify key media targets and support measurable Corporate PR and Brand PR activities, including reviewer programs
  • Manage PR agencies to ensure campaigns are executed on time, on budget, and in line with brand guidelines
  • Manage, analyze, and report on all PR-related KPIs in collaboration with agency and global teams
Internal Communications:
  • Execute corporate internal communications programs including executive communications, Town Halls, employee newsletters, meetings, and employee giving/volunteerism initiatives
  • Develop key executive communications such as messages, social media posts, scripts, memos, and announcements
  • Lead execution of Town Halls including planning, logistics, executive briefings, and presentation development
  • Contribute to internal messaging and strategic communication plans that support organizational priorities
  • Lead and execute CSR-based communications programs to drive awareness and enhance brand reputation
  • Support the national citizenship strategy and related marketing campaigns internally and externally
To join our team:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, or a related discipline
  • 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in public relations, media relations, corporate communications, or integrated brand communications, ideally within consumer technology, mobile, lifestyle, or another fast-paced consumer industry
  • Experience developing strategic communications and PR campaigns for consumer products, digital services, connected ecosystems, or major brand and product launches
  • Strong media relations experience, with the ability to identify compelling story angles and translate complex offerings into clear, audience-friendly narratives
  • Experience managing communications agencies, campaign budgets, and multiple concurrent priorities while delivering measurable results
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with experience developing executive, corporate, media, and employee communications
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with senior leaders, cross-functional stakeholders, external partners, and global or regional communications teams

The salary for this role is $100K to $110K, your final compensation will reflect your years of experience and beyond the numbers, we’re proud to offer a holistic package that includes:
