Job summary

Recovery Alberta is seeking a Psychosocial Rehab Assistant to join a multidisciplinary mental health team at Alberta Children's Hospital. You will assist with implementing individualized and group treatment plans for children and adolescents in inpatient or day treatment programs.

Under supervision, you will apply knowledge of child development and trauma-informed care to deliver safe, high-quality care and to support therapeutic programming within the Hospital Mental Health Patient Care Unit.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Social Work or Child & Youth Care, or a Bachelor's in Psychology is required.
• Knowledge of child and adolescent development and therapeutic interventions is essential.
• Experience with mental health care settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support therapeutic programming within an inpatient or day treatment mental health program.
• Assist with implementing individual and group treatment plans for children and adolescents.
• Work under the guidance of a Clinical Supervisor to provide safe, high-quality patient care.
