A health services provider in Calgary is seeking a Psychosocial Rehab Assistant to support therapeutic programming in mental health care. The role involves working with children and adolescents, assisting in implementing treatment plans, and requires knowledge of child development and therapeutic interventions. This position offers a part-time schedule with shifts on days and weekends.

The Psychosocial Rehab Assistant (PSRA) works with a multidisciplinary team assisting with therapeutic programming within an in-patient or day treatment Mental Health program. Under the guidance of Registered Nurses and Family Counselors, the Psychosocial Rehab Assistant also supports the implementation of individual and group program plans for children and adolescents admitted to the mental health care unit. Knowledge and understanding of child and adolescent development, and therapeutic interventions is essential to optimal patient care. This specific PSRA opportunity involves offering therapeutic support to patients who may be holding in Emergency Department or who are placed 'off service' in medical units throughout the hospital.
Completion of diploma in Social Work or Child and Youth Care or completion of Bachelor's Degree in Psychology.
