Overview

Psychologist

Cornerstone Medical Clinic (CMC) is seeking a Temporary Full Time Psychologist. Reporting to the partnership Physicians and Office Manager, the Psychologist will be responsible for providing team-base provision for mental health care for the patients of Cornerstone Medical Clinic. In collaboration with our Physicians the Psychologist will support patients to access additional mental health resources within the community and provide group sessions as needed. The successful candidate will also see 18-25 patients weekly for direct care.

If you are a psychologist, having a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in mental health and addictions or a master's in social work engaging with teenagers and adults, then this job is for you! This position is part of a newly developed Innovation Fund between the Saskatchewan Government and medical clinics across Saskatchewan with the aim of improving patient access and quality care through team-based support, that will deliver better access to primary care in the province of Saskatchewan. This position is temporary until March 31, 2027, with the possibility of an extension.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychological assessments
  • Review referral information to identify clients that require psychology services
  • Provide individual and group therapy
  • Plan intervention programs and conduct program evaluation
  • Maintain patient records
  • Work in collaboration with other health professionals
  • Develop comprehensive treatment plans
Qualifications
  • Registered and in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists (SKCP)
  • Master's in psychology or social work with clinical experience and registered with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW)
  • Broad knowledge of community resources including treatment programs and supporting agencies
  • Knowledge of intervention strategies (individual and group) and consultation skills
  • Demonstrated cultural competency skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team
