Are you a passionate psychologist looking to belong to a supportive, collaborative community to implement our bold vision to optimize the benefit of mental health services to diverse audiences from prevention to intervention? If so, join Lifemark Health Group and grow with us as we build provincial teams in support of our national mental health strategy.

You’ll feel at home here if…

You value the opportunity to use your psychological expertise to make a meaningful difference. In this role, you’ll be a trusted subject‑matter expert, bringing evidence-based practice and process expertise to innovative, step-care mental health programs across the continuum of care — from prevention and monitoring to intervention.

You’ll provide high-quality, whole-person care through a client-centered, biopsychosocial approach. You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse range of professionals, including multidisciplinary rehabilitation teams (physiotherapists, kinesiologists, occupational therapists, vocational rehabilitation specialists and case coordinators) as well as interdisciplinary mental health teams (psychologists, psychotherapists, counsellors, social workers and occupational therapists).

Most importantly, your work will have a real impact on people’s lives. You’ll support Canadian Veterans* whose service-related health conditions may affect their ability to participate fully in civilian life, as well as employees and organizations focused on workplace health, and individuals who are seeking mental health support through insurance or private pay.

Our clients come to us through a variety of pathways and funding partners, including PCVRS*, WCB Traumatic Psychological Injury programs, motor vehicle accident (MVA) claims, long‑term disability (LTD) programs, and private pay.

You will find purpose in this role by:
  • Bringing your unique assessment competencies to a range of applications, from pre-employment suitability assessments for high‑risk occupations to diagnostic assessments to guide treatment and psychosocial resource building
  • Delivering individual and group treatment for conditions including anxiety, trauma, depression, somatic complaints, substance misuse, adjustment and interpersonal issues within the person’s psychosocial context
  • Consulting with other mental health service team members and clinical interdisciplinary teams
  • Leveraging novel approaches to the delivery of mental health services, including adjunct digital therapeutics
  • Contributing to in-house training sessions and interdisciplinary case discussions
  • Contributing to program outcome evaluations at the provincial and national level
Education and licensure
  • Master’s Degree or Ph.D. in Psychology (Clinical, Health, Rehabilitation or Counselling)
  • Current registration in good standing with the Newfoundland and Labrador Psychology Board
  • Individual professional liability insurance required at time of employment
  • Trauma training required
  • Training/certifications with CBT, CPT, DBT, ACT, EMDR or Prolonged Exposure and/or other evidence-based treatments highly desired
Applied Experience
  • At least 1 to 3 yrs. of clinical experience working with adult populations on return-to-work is preferred
  • Conducting psychological assessments with adults for various goals, including treatment planning
