Simplication seeks a Psychoeducational Clinician to provide psychological assessment services, crisis intervention, and mental health counselling to students across the Lambton Kent District School Board.

This temporary CUPE role reports to the Manager of Psychological Services, requires a Master’s degree in Psychology and registration with the College of Psychologists or Psychotherapists, and includes travel within the district; 35 hours per week, with a salary of $44.11–$46.67 per hour.

Posting Overview :

Reporting to the Manager of Psychological Services, this position will provide psychological assessment services, crisis intervention as well as mental health consultation and counselling to the students of the Lambton Kent District School Board.

Qualifications/Experience :

  • Possess a Master's level degree in Psychology;
  • Registration with the College of Psychologists or Psychotherapistsis mandatory.

Other Key Skills & Knowledge :

  • Determine intervention strategies with school based team;
  • Counsel/consult with students, parents, teachers, outside agencies on a variety of student related educational and psychological issues;
  • Provide psychological assessment and testing under the supervision of the Manager of Psychological Services and consult with parents, teachers, school administration and outside agencies;
  • Work effectively as a team member with department staff, other Board staff, outside agencies;
  • Communicate both verbally and in writing to relay information accurately;
  • Experience in the above areas, preferably in an educational setting is an asset;
  • Travel will be required within the District.

Position Effective Date & Length :

Temporary CUPE, 35 hours/week. Serving schools throughout the District.
Salary: $44.11/hour-$46.67/hour
