Kelowna General Hospital is seeking a general adult psychiatrist to join its expanding Psychiatry department. This role involves patient assessment and treatment, collaboration with clinicians and managers, and contributing to the development and maintenance of appropriate programs, policies, and procedures.

The position supports service to a 30-bed inpatient unit, a 6-bed Adult MH Intensive Care Unit, and seeks involvement with consults across medical/surgical units and the emergency

• Cover inpatient, consults to medical/surgical units and ED, plus community practice elements.

Fantastic opportunity for a general adult Psychiatrist to join the expanding Psychiatry department at Kelowna General Hospital. Our group of Psychiatrists provides service to KGH’s 30 bed inpatient unit, 6 bed Adult MH Intensive Care Unit, consults to the medical/surgical units and the emergency department, as well as maintain a community based practice. Duties will include, but not be limited to, patient assessment and treatment, collaboration with clinicians and managers, and assistance with the development and maintenance of appropriate programs, policies, and procedures.

Compensation Type Combination Estimated Remuneration $250,000 - $400,000, plus MOCAP

Benefits and Incentives

Relocation Funding Available $Relocation reimbursement up to a maximum of $9,000 for moves within BC, $12,000 for moves within Canada, and $15,000 for those relocating from outside Canada.
