Windsor Regional Hospital (WRH) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Adult Psychiatrist to join our mental health team in Windsor, Ontario. Our Ouellette campus provides acute mental health care to residents of Windsor and Essex County over 16 years of age, featuring 68 psychiatric beds, including an 8-bed Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and two 30-bed units.
This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with a collegial team of 12 psychiatrists, contributing to a comprehensive range of inpatient, consultation-liaison, emergency department, and post-acute outpatient services. Your Responsibilities will include, on a rotation basis
- Sharing responsibility for inpatient services at the WRH Ouellette campus, with allotted reasonable patient workload.
- Providing consultation-liaison services to the medical units.
- Covering the emergency department mental health assessment unit.
- Post-discharge time-limited outpatient care, 1-3 times per week.
- Working collaboratively with an innovative and supportive leadership, and a dynamic, highly-skilled multidisciplinary clinical team, including psychiatrists, family physicians, social workers, and occupational and recreational therapists.
What you bring to Our Team
- Certification, or eligibility for certification, by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent.
- Licensure, or eligibility for licensure, with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. (CPSO pathway licensure is available for US Board Certified Physicians.)
