Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of residential apartment buildings (10 buildings comprising 1,300 units), overseeing leasing, maintenance, tenant relations, and budgeting.
  • Supervise leasing agents to ensure occupancy targets are met and marketing strategies are effective.
  • Coordinate maintenance and capital projects with internal technicians and external contractors.
  • Enforce lease compliance while maintaining high tenant satisfaction.
  • Monitor arrears, expenses, and operational KPIs.
  • Act as the problem solver — address issues proactively without unnecessary escalation.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience managing a residential portfolio.
  • Thorough understanding of the Residential Tenancy Act and its practical application.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle (Halifax-based role).
