Overview
Looking for someone with a minimum of 3 years of experience working in property management administration for residential and commercial properties, to oversee the day-to-day operations of our residential/commercial properties of LivingWell Properties Ottawa. If you have a positive can-do attitude, are organized, reliable, detailed orientated and a fast learner, we invite you to join our small property management team of commercial and residential properties. Full-time (30-40 hours per week). $45,000-$60,000 starting salary depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of assigned properties (e.g., leasing, inspections, maintenance).
- Oversee tenant relations including lease administration, rent collection, and conflict resolution.
- Coordinate and schedule regular property maintenance and repairs.
- Enforce property rules and regulations to ensure tenant compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of income, expenses, and occupancy levels.
- Prepare financial reports, budgets, and variance analyses.
- Conduct regular property inspections and ensure properties are in good condition.
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors, negotiate service contracts.
- Market vacant units and conduct property showings to prospective tenants.
- Ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations.
- Other duties as required.
Skills / Qualifications
- Proven experience in Property Management or similar role (minimum 3 years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of property management laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Ability to follow regulated guidelines and property management protocols.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Effective English oral and written communication skills.
- Able to use office equipment including computers, and able to learn new software.
- Proficient in using the latest Microsoft Word, Excel and email.
- Proficiency with property management software (ideally Yardi).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Property management certification is a plus.
- Demonstrates commitment to professional development and learning quickly.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
