Job summary

J.D. Irving, Limited is seeking Project Centre Sales Representatives to partner with customers, understand needs and plan construction projects. You will recommend solutions, drive sales and maintain knowledge of promotions.

The role features a base salary plus commission, a fast-paced environment, and opportunities to grow within Atlantic Canada’s leading building supply network.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in sales and customer service.
• Ability to solve problems and work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and team player.
• Confident, persuasive, energetic and self-motivated.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and sales objectives.
• Microsoft Office skills and willingness to learn new software programs.
• Knowledge of building materials and construction process would be an asset.
• Ability to quickly develop a trusting relationship with new customers and build rapport with existing customers by providing quality customer service and maintaining service standards.
• Strong verbal and written communication (bilingual would be an asset French/English).
