Job summary

A construction firm located in Metro Vancouver is seeking a Project Safety Coordinator to manage site safety programs and ensure compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have certification as a Project Safety Coordinator, at least 3 years of construction industry experience, and strong communication skills. The successful candidate will oversee safety documentation while building positive relationships with trade personnel. This role offers a challenging and fast-paced work environment.

Qualifications

  • Certification as a Project Safety Coordinator is required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the construction industry is essential.
  • Trained in WHMIS is mandatory.

Job description

Safety is the most important consideration on our sites. Candidates should have the following minimal requirements to be considered for the position of Project Safety Coordinator :

  • Certification as a Project Safety Coordinator
  • First Aid – Level 3
  • Trained in WHMIS– Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in the construction industry
The successful candidate :
  • Will be well-versed in ITC’s Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Manual and diligently implement and manage the Site Safety Program
  • We be driven and can work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Will manage all site safety documentation and operational requirements proactively and accurately.
  • Will have well-developed communication skills.
  • Will develop positive working relationships with all trade personnel and teammates.
  • Will be detailed oriented in all aspects of documentation and reporting
  • Good knowledge of Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) Regulations and Procedures for Provincial for Canadian Operations and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
