Job summary

Shared Health in Manitoba is seeking a contract administration professional to support capital projects, contracts and program delivery in a non-clinical environment.

The role is hybrid, 1.0 FTE, with days shifts, 7.75 hours per day, ASAP start, and requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience in administration or project support and post-secondary education in business/public administration or project management related to capital infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in administration, contract coordination, or project support.
  • Education in Business Administration, Public Administration and/or Project management for capital infrastructure.
  • Certificate of completion of Indigenous Cultural Safety Awareness training is mandatory.
  • Project Management Professional Certification is considered an asset.

Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient- centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Position Overview
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in administration, contract coordination, or project support.
  • Experience within a construction, labour, or government environment preferred.
  • Experience supporting large capital projects over $50M.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Public Administration and/or Project management involving capital infrastructure.
  • A relevant combination of education (ex. economics, finance, other) and experience may be considered.
  • Certificate of completion of recognized Canadian Indigenous Cultural Safety Awareness training program is mandatory.
  • Project Management Professional Certification is considered an asset.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Strong organizational and documentation management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or supporting professional multi-disciplinary teams comprised of resources with a wide spectrum of experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Values and respects a collaborative team approach, working closely with colleagues and stakeholders to uncover optimal solutions while maintaining individual accountability for assigned tasks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative including the ability to work with minimal supervision and independently manage projects.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and Visio.
  • Strong facilitation and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders and drive consensus.
  • Experience in conflict resolution and/or change management is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Manitoba labour laws and workplace regulations is preferred.
  • Understanding of the application of construction contract law, CCDC documents, and public tendering practices as well as other applicable legislation, policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines is preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • May be required to work extended hours.
  • Periodic travel throughout Manitoba may be required.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and access to reliable vehicle.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
