In response to increasing project demands and development of our business, we are seeking a qualified Civil Project Manager – Transportation Infrastructure to join AtkinsRéalis to support our team in BC. This position is based out of our office in Vancouver, British Columbia with the flexibility of a hybrid work environment.

Your role within the team:
  • Project Management: Lead and manage multidisciplinary civil projects as Design Manager, Technical Lead and/or Engineer of Record; deal directly with clients on project scope, schedule and budget; monitor project completion and contract compliance.
  • Technical Execution: Participate in and/or lead execution as Lead Discipline of transportation infrastructure projects including Functional Planning, Preliminary Design, Detail Design and Construction Administration services; coordinate technical aspects with other disciplines; prepare and present work products to clients.
  • Business Strategy Development: Support building, maintaining and revising practices; team development; collaboration across disciplines; and assist the Manager in achieving the objectives of the Transportation Infrastructure Department.
  • Proposal Preparation: Lead/Participate and oversee the preparation of proposals and fee estimates.
  • Mentoring and Quality Control: Provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians to ensure technical adequacy of all work; review work and complete quality control procedures.

The ideal candidate:
  • 20+ years of relative experience in roads and highways design and 10+ years of experience as a design lead, deputy project manager or project manager.
  • Registered or eligible to be registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) with EGBC; CAPM/PMP designation is an asset.
  • Skilled in office productivity, project accounting, project management and personnel management software; working knowledge of CAD and Civil 3D software.
  • Working knowledge of application of TAC Geometric Design Guidelines, BC MoTT Supplement to TAC, and other design standards is required.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and time management skills; ability to manage multiple projects concurrently; team management and delegation skills; willingness to travel for short-term assignments within Canada.

Expected compensation for this role is between Pay Range $107,600 - $179,000 annually (Only Applicable to British Columbia). Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role.
