The Opportunity:

WSP is currently seeking a motivated Project Manager to join our Municipal Engineering team in Vancouver or in Langley, British Columbia. Reporting to the Manager, Land Development and Municipal Engineering, this position will be responsible for working on projects for public clients, leading transportation projects, including roadway infrastructure and drainage projects, encompassing planning, design and construction services.

WSP's LDME team is a close-knit, collaborative team that prides itself on longstanding relationships of trust with many developers, municipalities, townships and cities.

Partnering with internal disciplines across WSP, the team delivers long‑term, complex projects in municipal engineering, covering the entire project life cycle from conceptual planning and design, through construction management and client hand‑over.

As a Project Manager, your responsibilities will span multiple projects across the Lower Mainland. You will form partnerships both internally and externally and will be integral to developing and executing project delivery strategy. You will manage the financial and technical aspects of all projects through the full life cycle, from early phases and proposals to business development, engineering, design, approvals and contract administration, all while overseeing construction.

What you can expect to do here:
  • Prepare and contribute to transportation studies for municipal roads, transit planning studies, conceptual plans, functional and/or conceptual design, and functional and preliminary design activities
  • Liaise with clients, project team members, technical agencies and road authorities regarding project requirements to develop creative and effective solutions
  • Lead the delivery of transportation design projects, including municipal, transit and private development projects
  • Manage each project to ensure client expectations and business unit standards are met

What you’ll bring to WSP:
  • An undergraduate degree in civil engineering from an accredited university
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive transportation design related experience

Compensation

Salary range (in British Columbia): $113,500 - $156,000

The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. The salary range provided in this job posting may be subject to change for business purposes.
