About the Team & Business Line

As a core member of our Projects and Governance team you will be working with some of the industry's most accomplished professionals to deliver award-winning services for complex fund structures that our clients can depend upon.

The Project Manager will be a key member of the Projects and Governance Team (PGT) and is responsible for the planning and execution of various strategic projects. This role will ensure the team is providing standardized project governance and that reporting metrics and identification and escalation of risks is occurring on a timely basis across the teams assignments. The successful candidate will work in partnership with the Senior Management Team to ensure a quality product is delivered to stakeholders.

Projects & Governance Team (PGT) is charged with providing multiple CFS Lines of Business units (Hedge Fund CAIS Private Equity Real Assets Investor Relations Ancillary Services) with project management governance when executing initiatives that benefit the larger CFS Organization. Additionally PGT works with other CFS Divisions (Group Bank CGS / Mercator Technology) as required and where initiatives cross division lines. PGT provides project governance with a structured framework and management information reporting allowing for timely escalation of issues and risks that impact the success of the initiatives. Initiatives will include system conversions / on-boarding (BPM Dynamo SDLP) achieving headcount objectives (Global Location Strategy Headcount Forecast support) client or operational transitions and Chief of Staff Initiatives oversight. Most initiatives cross several departments and locations with senior leadership stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Your Role: Project Planning
  • You will manage all phases of projects from initiation to post mortem.
  • Engage with stakeholders to identify scope resourcing and requirements for assigned projects to ensure buy-in and project success.
  • Develop detailed project plans with the team that outline scope timeline cost resources and risk with business requirements and quality expectations.
  • Track project timelines and results to identify and elevate challenges developing contingency plans where needed.
  • Think strategically to develop new and creative ways to approach solutions that successfully influence project outcomes.
  • Ensure team has standardized approach in providing governance oversight.
Communication
  • Facilitate or assist team members in facilitating regular meetings with stakeholders throughout the various stages of the project with agendas minutes and action items.
  • Ensure stakeholders at all levels receive regular updates on project status tailoring message to each audience (i.e. leadership vs. operational vs. technical).
  • Ensure appropriate reporting is created for each phase of the project.
  • Work with technical resources in translating business requirements to technical requirements where applicable.
Management
  • Ensure effective utilization of staff across the team (as well as any assigned resources outside your group) with appropriate task and project assignments coverage and documentation.
  • Develop staff through on-going coaching and training.
  • Ensure compliance with Performance Management cycles for assigned staff.
Qualifications
About You
  • You have 8 years of Citco operational experience including working on strategic initiatives and or experience providing project management oversight to deliver multiple projects on time and in scope in a fast paced environment including :
  • Creating detailed project plans
  • Identifying and escalating risks
  • Managing timelines
  • Creating status reporting tailored to stakeholders
  • Experience managing relationships with senior level stakeholders across multiple business units.
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and oral and the ability to capture a diverse audience.
  • Possess a strategic mindset and find motivation in creatively solving problems.
  • 3 years of experience coaching and developing staff.
  • Undergrad degree in Finance Accounting Economics Mathematics Computer Science Information Systems or related fields.
  • Knowledge of multiple functions in Fund Administration industry.
  • Project Management Certification (PMP or Prince II) an asset.
