Title: PMO Operations Manager
Type: Contract (6 months, with potential for extension or full-time conversion)
Schedule: Full-time, 9 AM–5 PM EST, hybrid (expected 2–3 days per week in office)
Overtime: None required
Dress Code: Business casual / standard corporate environment
Hourly Rate: up to $85/hour
This role manages daily operations and governance processes within the Project Management Office (PMO). The PMO Operations Manager ensures control testing, compliance, and risk management activities are executed accurately, while maintaining data integrity and operational consistency. The position is ideal for a senior project management professional with a strong background in governance, compliance, data accuracy, and process automation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Governance & Compliance Management
- Oversee and execute quarterly control testing, documenting results, ratings, and remediation plans.
- Manage PMRO attestation packages, ensuring timely submission and full compliance with enterprise requirements.
- Monitor and resolve Key Risk Indicator (KRI) breaches within defined SLAs, tracking remediation through “Return to Green” plans.
- Support risk and compliance governance education for new and existing project managers.
Operational Oversight & Data Management
- Maintain accurate and compliant PMO operating data within Clarity and other reporting tools.
- Track and report on operational metrics, compliance performance, and efficiency KPIs.
- Ensure consistent and accurate governance documentation across PMO functions.
Automation & Reporting
- Implement and enhance automation tools (e.g., Power BI, Selenium) to improve control testing efficiency and reduce manual work.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and performance reports for PMO governance, control testing, and risk management.
- Drive continuous improvement in PMO reporting accuracy and timeliness.
Team Support & Enablement
- Support onboarding and training of Project Managers (PMs) and Scrum Masters (SMs) on governance and compliance processes.
- Foster collaboration across teams to improve adherence to enterprise project standards.
- Provide ongoing operational and governance support to PMO leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Minimum 10 years of project management experience, ideally within PMO or enterprise delivery functions.
- Expertise in control testing, compliance tracking, and risk management processes.
- Strong working knowledge of Clarity PPM or similar project portfolio management systems.
- Proficiency with Power BI, Selenium, or equivalent automation/reporting tools.
- Demonstrated ability to monitor metrics, track KRIs, and ensure timely remediation.
- Experience maintaining governance frameworks and ensuring data accuracy across multiple projects.

Education
- Post‑secondary degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field.
Preferred
