Position: Project Manager Multi-Family Residential Construction
Location: Calgary, Alberta

About the Role

An established and reputable homebuilder in Calgary is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Project Manager to oversee the execution of multi-family residential construction projects. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of high-quality, multi-unit housing developments and vibrant communities while collaborating with a dynamic team.

The successful candidate will focus on managing multi-family projects such as townhomes, duplexes, and other multi-unit properties, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to exceptional quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning & Coordination:
    • Develop and maintain project timelines, schedules, and budgets for multi-family residential construction projects.
    • Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure alignment with project milestones and organizational goals.
    • Ensure all projects comply with local zoning regulations, permits, and building codes.
  • Project Oversight & Execution:
    • Oversee all phases of construction for multi-family developments, from site preparation and framing to final finishes.
    • Monitor contractor and trade performance to ensure quality and efficiency.
    • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and quality standards are upheld.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Provide regular updates to clients, project teams, and leadership on progress, timelines, and potential challenges.
    • Act as the primary liaison between the organization and subcontractors, suppliers, and other external partners.
  • Mentor and guide project team members, ensuring tasks are clearly assigned and executed effectively.
    • Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
    • Identify and address potential risks to avoid delays and cost overruns.
    • Resolve construction issues promptly to maintain project timelines and budgets.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of project management experience in multi-family residential construction is strongly preferred.

  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with clients, teams, and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Procore, or similar software).
