Project Manager Major Projects – Federated Co‑operatives Limited

Federated Co‑operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Project Manager Major Projects on a permanent basis to work on our exciting Energy Roadmap Project. The ideal location for this position is Regina SK but we are open to remote / hybrid work options across Western Canada.

The Co‑op Energy Roadmap is our most ambitious transition plan yet driving us toward a low‑carbon future by 2040. This project is set to reshape the energy landscape and empower communities across Western Canada to embrace a more sustainable tomorrow. You will be part of an innovative and highly impactful effort. You will lead plan direct and control the execution of a large‑scale project within our Major Projects portfolio.

What you will do
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project success factors, key design objectives and performance indicators.
  • Identify and manage project risks, develop mitigation strategies and monitor their effectiveness throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and review detailed cost estimates, schedules, RFEs and comprehensive project plans.
  • Lead engineering service providers and construction teams through detailed design, early work, execution and site demobilization.
  • Coordinate with Refinery Operations, Turnaround Planning and the Construction Manager to develop and implement construction execution strategies.
  • Plan and lead pre‑construction meetings to align on schedule, budget, change management, safety and roles and responsibilities.
  • Support commissioning and start‑up activities in collaboration with Refinery Operations to ensure successful facility integration.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to engineers, technicians, tradespeople and contractors fostering a high‑performance project team.
Who you are
  • Have a minimum of 10 years relevant experience in the petroleum and/or the oil and gas industry leading large‑scale mega projects.
  • Have a Bachelor of Science in Engineering preferably in Mechanical or Industrial Systems (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • Membership or eligibility for membership in the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS) as a Professional Engineer.
