Job Description Overview

The Permitting and Environmental Management team includes nearly 100 employees at all levels who participate in key projects throughout their lifecycle: from initial assessment of key constraints to strategic development of regulatory approval processes, and compliance management during construction and operation. Our team collaborates on projects to achieve social acceptance and manage our clients’ environmental and sustainability commitments.

Environmental impact assessment during the execution of major projects in the mining, energy, and industrial sectors has become an essential discipline and a key concern for our clients and citizens. AtkinsRéalis offers you the opportunity to join an energetic and experienced team providing distinctive services in environmental and social impact assessment for numerous varied projects (energy and natural resources, industrial, mining, etc.) for major private and public clients. A team at the heart of the most ambitious projects in Quebec and Canada, valuing involvement, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.

Your Role
  • Lead and/or participate in environmental impact studies and related studies within a multidisciplinary team;
  • Lead and/or participate in environmental permit and authorization applications;
  • Ensure compliance with project budgets and schedules;
  • Maintain effective and constructive relationships with clients within your responsibilities;
  • Lead and/or participate in preparing service proposals (strategy, work plan, client meetings, budget, etc.);
  • Contribute to business development for the department;
  • Act as a mentor to colleagues.
About You
  • Bachelor’s degree in an environment-related field (Master’s degree is an asset);
  • Training in environmental engineering is an asset;
  • 10 years of relevant experience in the environmental field;
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or ability to obtain CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) certification within six months is a condition of employment if you are not currently PMP certified;
  • Strong knowledge of provincial and federal environmental legislation;
  • Excellent writing, analytical, and synthesis skills;
  • Ability to work in a team and manage projects;
  • Excellent command of French, both written and spoken;
  • French-English bilingualism* is an asset.

*This position requires knowledge of another language besides French, namely English, as you will be part of a Canadian, global, or regional management team and will need to collaborate with colleagues outside Quebec.
