Job summary

First Onsite Property Restoration is seeking a Project Manager II to oversee restoration projects from estimation to completion with a focus on safety, profitability, and client experience.

You will lead cross-functional teams, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with homeowners, adjusters, and insurers to ensure projects meet timelines and quality standards. This role demands hands-on management and a commitment to excellence across Canada.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager I or equivalent in restoration or construction
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects independently from start to finish
• Strong knowledge of restoration and construction practices, safety regulations, and building codes
• Experience reading plans, developing scopes, and negotiating with clients and adjusters
• Skilled communicator with strong organization and time management abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, mobile applications, and Xactimate (Level 2 certification an asset)
• IICRC certifications: WRT and FSRT
• Valid driver's license and clean driving abstract
• Must be able to participate in a rotating on-call schedule
• Ability to complete work activities which may include physical labour, material handling and lifting, climbing ladders, wearing a respirator, and working in tight spaces (attics, basements, and crawlspaces)

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PROJECT MANAGER

As a Project Manager, you take full ownership of every restoration project, leading from kickoff to completion with precision and purpose. You'll scope losses, prepare detailed estimates, and manage budgets to ensure every project stays profitable and on schedule. You'll keep teams, subcontractors, and resources working in sync, driving progress while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards. You'll engage directly with homeowners, adjusters, and insurers to build trust, communicate clearly, and keep expectations aligned. You'll stay ahead of potential issues, solving challenges quickly and keeping work moving without delay. You'll also mentor junior project managers and supervisors, building their skills and ensuring consistency across every job you touch.
