Job summary

Airbus in Mirabel, Quebec, part of the A220 Programme, seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead plant improvements, infrastructure and building projects within the Facilities team.

You will plan budgets, schedules, and contractor calls for tender; manage internal clients across maintenance, methods, logistics and more; ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to quality standards, while fostering cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Construction Engineering.
  • Member of the Engineers Order of Quebec (OIQ).
  • 5–10 years of relevant project management experience.
  • Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

  • Define project budget and schedule.
  • Prepare tenders for engineers, architects and contractors.
  • Assess submissions and participate in contract awards.
  • Monitor projects and ensure milestones are met.

The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for 1 engineer - Project manager for plant improvements, infrastructure, and buildings to join our Facilities team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada), where you will meet with various internal clients (maintenance, methods, logistics, transportation, and other departments) in order to understand and identify their needs.

You will be part of the Plant Engineering team responsible for carrying out plant renovations/refurbishments and to make modifications or additions to various buildings and infrastructure.

The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.

Your role as Project Manager will be to take charge of project planning and implementation, within the specified budget, deadlines, and quality standards.

Your challenges:
  • Define budget and schedule.
  • Build the calls for tenders necessary for the employment of professionals (engineers, architects or others) necessary for projects.

Your boarding pass:
  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Construction Engineering from a recognized university.
  • Member of the Engineers Order of Quebec (OIQ).
  • You have 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in project management.
  • You have excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • You have a command of French and English, both written and spoken.
  • You have excellent communication skills.
  • You have good judgment and you work well in a multidisciplinary team.

Due to the sector of activity (aerospace), frequent contacts with Airbus entities worldwide, and interactions with suppliers and clients also located across the globe, proficiency in English is required for this position.
