Job summary

Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group in Montreal is seeking a Project Manager for Events Equipment within Site & Infrastructure. This temporary 12-month role will plan and monitor projects, coordinate resources, and ensure service providers meet content, schedule, budget and quality expectations.

The role requires 4–6 years in project management in a touring show environment, knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, welding, basic electricals, and strong manual-writing skills.

Qualifications

• Four to six years of experience in project management, including experience in touring shows (asset).
• General knowledge in plumbing, carpentry, and welding/metal structures.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems.
• Proficiency in writing manuals and procedures.
• Good understanding of general technical aspects.
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
• Strong organizational skills, initiative, and autonomy.
• Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
• Valid driver's license is an asset.
• PM diploma is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor projects under supervision of Manager – Grandstand and Modular Structures.
• Ensure work of service providers meets content, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Establish action plans and timelines; coordinate logistics with internal and external resources.
• Manage performance of suppliers related to the project.
• Research and propose techniques or materials to optimize results.
• Issue guidelines for use, upkeep, and maintenance of touring equipment.
• Coordinate communications to project stakeholders and report progress.

Put your expertise in the spotlight
Under the supervision of the Manager – Grandstand and Modular Structures, under Technical Services department, you will have to plan and monitor the various projects under your responsibility and ensure that the work of service providers meets the organization's expectations (in terms of content, schedule, budget and quality), and complies with service level agreements.
Main Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate project resources (human, material and financial) within the defined time and budget conditions, in order to achieve the established objectives.
• Plan, manage and follow up on assigned projects, in addition to ensuring that they meet the needs of internal customers as well as established standards, deadlines and budgets.
• Establish action plans and timelines; see to the organization of logistics with internal and external resources.
• Manage the performance of suppliers related to the project.
• Research and propose techniques, materials or new methods that can optimize project results or solve problems.
• Issuing guidelines and procedures for the use, upkeep, and maintenance of touring equipment with plumbing elements
• Coordinate communications to project stakeholders and report on their progress.

You possess the following professional and technical skills:

• Four to six years of experience in project management, including experience working in a touring show environment (an asset).
• General knowledge in the following areas: plumbing, carpentry, and welding/metal structures.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems.
• Proficiency in writing manuals and procedures.
• Good understanding of general technical aspects.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications in the Windows environment.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks is an asset.
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
• Strong organizational skills, excellent initiative, and high autonomy.
• Proficiency in French and English, both orally and in writing.
• Availability and authorization for international travel.
• Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a car is an asset.
• Project management diploma is an asset.
