Job summary
ARA Robotics, a Montreal-based start-up, is seeking a Project Manager passionate about technical project management in UAV and embedded systems. You will manage deliverables and budgets for customer solution development, collaborating on payload integration and production projects.

Qualifications
- University degree or equivalent in a technical field and/or project management.
- Experience with agile PM software suites and Jira is a plus.
- 3–5 years in technical project management is expected.
- Strong budget management experience and purchasing hardware components.
Responsibilities
- Participate in planning and estimating for proposed projects.
- Set up budgets and project schedules using company tools.
- Monitor progress of project teams and prepare progress reports.
- Manage allocation of resources across client and internal projects.
- Supervise technical writing and drafting of contractual agreements.
- Collaborate on technical documentation and project changes with clients.
- Make decisions on project progress and adjust budgets/resources.
- Travel to North America for project deliveries.

The candidate will be required to participate in internal and customer projects on UAV design, integration of embedded systems with a view to collaborating on UAV production projects, integration of payloads on UAVs and other related projects.

Under the supervision of the Director of Operations, the Project Manager will take part in the management of deliverables and budgets for ARA Robotics customer solution development projects.
ARA Robotics is a Montreal-based start-up founded in 2014 that offers technological solutions in the UAV sector for commercial & defense applications. ARA Robotics is currently seeking a project manager.
- Participate in planning and estimating efforts for proposed projects
- Use the company's tools for setting up budgets and project schedules
- Monitor the progress of project teams
- Create progress reports to present to management and clients
- Ensure and manage the allocation of resources within client and internal projects
- Supervise the technical writing of projects
- Collaborate in the writing of technical documentation
- Make decisions about the progress of the project
- Do daily, weekly and monthly follow-ups with the project teams
- Participate in meetings with clients in order to set up to modify or add budgets and resources in future or current projects
- Distribute tasks within a work team
- Traveling to North America when delivering projects to customers

- Experience with the Jira platform
- Training and/or technical knowledge on Unmanned Aerial Systems
- Knowledge or experience in development project management on critical flight systems
- Knowledge and experience in drafting contractual agreements
- Knowledge or experience in carrying out projects resulting from public calls for projects.
- Knowledge or interest in the aerospace and/or (RPAS) sector
- All training in the aeronautics sector or in the aviation and RPAS sector
- Great teamwork
- Able to work under pressure of deliverables
- Experience in multiple projects management with shared resources
- Excellent knowledge and ability to converse and write in French
- Experience in planning and assigning tasks to technical staff
- Able to travel to clients in North America several times a year
- University degree in a technical field of study and/or related to project management and/or administration
- Experience with agile-type project software suites
- 3 to 5 years in technical project management
- Strong experience in budget management and purchasing of hardware components
