Job summary

NORR Architects Engineers Planners seeks a Project Manager to plan and manage education-related projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, manage scope, and coordinate with clients, contractors, and authorities to meet contractual commitments.

Ideal candidates bring 5–10 years of project experience, strong leadership, and a solid grasp of project accounting to forecast revenue.

  • 5–10 years of project work experience.
  • Experience in education projects.
  • Experience in strategic development, business development, project management, and client management is required.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal skills, flexibility and resourcefulness.
  • A strong understanding of project accounting to monitor performance and forecast revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiating, developing, monitoring, and controlling scope, work plans, schedules and budgets for all project stages.
  • Developing a detailed work plan for architectural and engineering disciplines and monitoring progress.
  • Leading an integrated team of architects and engineers in QA/QC for deliverables.
  • Maintaining understanding of project scope and negotiating changes to meet client expectations.
  • Coordinating with contractor, sub-consultants, and building authorities to address constructability issues.
  • Acting as the primary liaison with client, contractor, and project team.

We are currently seeking a Project Manager to plan and manage projects to ensure that all contractual commitments are met on time and within budget. As a Project Manager, you will use your interpersonal and leadership skills and must have an understanding of project financials to determine the necessary resources required for successful project execution. In addition, you will provide leadership to a multi-disciplined team, monitor project performance, and forecast revenue.

You Will Make an Impact by
  • Negotiating, developing, monitoring, and controlling the scope of deliverables, work plans, schedules, and budgets for all project stages
  • Developing a detailed work plan for all architectural and engineering disciplines, allocate hours to the work plan, and monitor project progress
  • Leading an integrated team of architects and engineers in the quality assurance and quality control procedures for all deliverables, specifically the construction drawings and specifications
  • Maintaining a good understanding of the project scope and when changes to the scope occur, negotiate solutions to ensure outcomes meet client expectations and contractual obligations
  • Coordinating with contractor, sub-consultants, or relevant building authorities to address and document issues with constructability or owner concerns
  • Acting as the primary liaison with the client, contractor, and project team and ensure close client relationships are maintained
You Will Bring to the Team
  • Architectural or engineering systems design and presentation, M&E and structural building systems, permit and building code
  • Registered with a relevant professional association is an asset
  • Experience in strategic development, business development, project management, and client management is required
  • Possess excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, flexibility, and resourcefulness
  • A strong understanding of project accounting is required in order to monitor project performance and forecast revenue
  • 5-10 years of project work experience
  • Experience in education projects

The hiring base salary range for this vacant position is $80,000.00 - $115,000.00 annually. Actual compensation will be based on several factors such as work location, education, experience, internal equity and skills.
