Responsibilities

  • Participate in site work strategy definition with the Project Director, Construction Leader and Site Manager.
  • Proactively anticipate mobilization activities and define required site trainings and resources.
  • Prepare detailed mobilization planning and ensure resource loading.
  • Lead mobilization tollgate review representing C&C.
  • Track site documentation and issue to customer.
  • Build project financial and physical progress tracking for site works.
  • Perform financial analysis including budgets, costs to date, slippages, forecasts.
  • Engage in risk mitigation and opportunity assessment.
  • Travel to sites up to 25% of the time.
  • Perform weekly site schedule updates with site manager and planner.
  • Coordinate communications across project teams for planning and execution.
  • Participate in customer and internal meetings.
  • Identify scope changes and oversee quantity/quality impacts.
  • Prepare RFQs and Purchase Requests for site works subcontracting.
  • Manage vendor packages at site (piping, painting, electrical, scaffolding, machining).
  • Prepare and lead site demobilization at project end.

The Project Manager of Construction & Commissioning (PMCC) will be responsible for controlling and supporting the field operations activities with respect to scope, schedule, and budget with the support of the project stakeholders. Le/la Chef de projet Construction et Mise en service (PMCC) est responsable du contrôle et du support des activités sur site en ce qui concerne les travaux, l’échéancier, et le budget, avec le soutien des parties prenantes du projet.

Job Description

The Project Manager Construction and Commissioning (PMCC) is responsible for preparing and controlling the different phases of field operations for a project. This role is crucial to ensure that site works are completed safely, at the required quality standards, on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction sites management, strong leadership skills, and the ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Participate in site work Strategy definition with the Project Director, Construction Leader and Site Manager
  • Proactively anticipate the activities required for site mobilization, including tooling definition, safety equipment, warehousing requirements, offices infrastructures, worker’s accommodations, and define the required specific site trainings
  • Prepare the detailed mobilization planning using framework documentation and checklists, and ensuring that resources loading requirements are met as required
  • Lead the mobilization tollgate review representing C&C in all the project related reviews
  • Track the project site documentation for a timely issuance to the customer (methods, site quality plan, commissioning reports, etc.)
  • Build the project financial and physical progress tracking structure for site works and update monthly
  • Perform detailed financial analysis including, but limited to, establish budgets, report costs to date, slippages, claims, and forecasts
  • Proactively engage in risk mitigation and opportunity assessment
  • Travel to sites 25% of the time to review and engage with site operations
  • Perform the site schedule weekly updates for planned vs. actual progress in collaboration with the site manager and project planner
  • Coordinate communications across the project teams to secure project planning and execution
  • Participate in customer and internal meetings
  • Identify the scope management changes for site works and provide oversight to team stakeholders for quantity and quality impacts
  • Prepare the Request for Quotations and Purchase Requests for site works subcontracting
  • Manage specific vendor packages at site (piping, painting, electrical, scaffolding, machining, etc.)
  • Prepare and lead the site demobilization at the end of the project
Required Qualifications
